Bargain Juicing Pears

Our pear trees have produced a good crop this season, especially the varieties Concorde and Invincible. Although delicious, the skins tend to have variable amounts of surface blemish and we always have to judge which are just too spotty to bring you. We seem to have a lot of juicing pears this year and would like to shift them before they go off. So we're offering them this week for only 50p per kilo. Get them while you can!

Red Devil, Red Windsor and Rajka apples are all available this week. Bonus Apples to add to your regular box (fruit or veg) are £2 per kg. Also, do try our new delicious apple juice: 750 ml bottle for £3.30.

Green peppers (regular and bull's horn) and chillies as well as a few experimental aubergines are ready now. The French beans and basil are coming to an end - autumn is upon us. The latest lettuces are ready and we have enough to include them in salad boxes.

Ready now (ask if you want some in your box): pak choi, Chinese cabbage, sage, lemon balm, green peppers, celery, leeks, chillies, aubergine, runner beans, French beans, cherry tomatoes, regular tomatoes, Red Devil, Red Windsor and Rajka apples, red and yellow raspberries, courgettes, cucumbers, kohl rabi, edible flowers, kale, cavolo nero, Oriental leaves, spring onions, oregano, rosemary, Swiss chard, rainbow chard, chives, rocket and mint. The potatoes from west Cumbria are called Colleen.
