Our Story

Call it a mission or a passion or just another wacky lifestyle choice, whatever you call it,, we grow healthy food in ways that aim to protect the planet - or at least one little bit of it.

Mike and Debbie Simpson use nature-enhancing, organic methods to grow fruit and vegetables in Cumbria all year round.

It all started with a rented field in 2003.

It soon became clear that the Cumbrian weather was going to make horticulture a challenge so we built the first polytunnel.

Fourteen years on, we now cultivate polytunnels on 20 times that area with additional outdoor production.

We established the orchard at Houghton in 2010 and took on the whole 16-acre Low Luckens smallholding in 2015.

Mike and Debbie's youngest son Robert joined Eva''s Organics full time in 2016.

So in the true spirit of sustainable development, we are striving to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of later generations to meet their own needs.

In fact, we're getting one of them to help.
