Celeriac

For the first time in several years we have our own crop of celeriac which is just about ready to harvest now. Celeriac adds an interesting flavour to mixed roast vegetables, with cheese in a gratin or just mashed with potatoes. Let me know if you would like to have some in your veg box.

Christmas deliveries: there will be no deliveries in the week beginning Monday 25th December.

In the week beginning Monday 1st January, your delivery will be one day later than normal. Let me know if you would like to order extra for Christmas week or make any other changes. Thanks.

It's the time of year when our organic friends at Ave Maria farm in Seville send us their wonderful citrus fruit - including the most flavoursome oranges and clementines. Why not make one or both of them your general bonus bag.

Apple juice production is in full swing and we now have lots available every week. This is a taste sensation you won't want to miss! Our apples are hand-selected and freshly pressed in small batches to retain all the naturally delicious flavour. Why not place a regular order: 750 ml bottle for £3.30. Red Topaz, Rajka and Herefordshire Russet apples are available this week. Bonus Apples to add to your regular box (fruit or veg) are £2 per kg.

Ready now (ask if you want some in your box): celeriac, winter cabbages, spring greens, leeks, chillies, Red Topaz, Rajka and Herefordshire Russet apples, kohl rabi, kale, cavolo nero, Oriental leaves, Swiss chard, flat leaf parsley and rocket. The potatoes from west Cumbria are called Colleen.

Also, English winter vegetables available now are: celery, leeks, swedes, parsnips, celeriac, beetroot, red onions, white onions, various squashes, red cabbages, white cabbages, Savoy cabbages and January King cabbages.
